I would like to make an important announcement that everyone in the world will want to hear. I've thought long and hard about this. I've read a book. I've watched a youtube video and at least three debates. I have listened to important celebrity opinion. And now it is time to add my voice to the growing numbers. I support Barack Obama for President. Make no mistake and let me be perfectly clear about this: I am supporting Obama not just because I'm black, or a member of MoveOn, and not just because Barack is a handsome and inspiring figure who can string together a coherent, unscripted thought in an interview. And certainly not just because all of these cool celebrities sing in this sweet video. There are many, many other reasons that I throw the full weight of my support behind this candidate. Lots of reasons . Tons.
OK so, is it just me, or does anyone else think that Scarlett Johansson makes no sense in this video? Otherwise, I think it is a lovely little piece of positive propaganda.

I watched this yesterday, and I feel like there are a few people that don't make sense.
ScarJo has an album coming out sometime soon, though. Wrap your mind around that one.
Also, the whole singing over the speech gets a little confusing sometimes.
But I love me some Barack. Have you heard him interviewed recently? I saw him on Face the Nation yesterday, and he is a wizard at being able to inject a little bit of his campaign in every answer.

the lyrics/speech transcript is under the 'more' link on the video. it does get muddled during the longy-bits. great speech, though.
i saw his interview after the state of the union speech. yeah, he is good at working in the talking points in a natural way.
i would like to see the speech just by itself. there's something to be said for a powerful speaker, and he seems to be that. whether or not this is just pretty rhetoric, i can't currently tell. but i like him so far, for reasons i can't explain.
