On Faith

Here is an interesting forum in the Washington Post. I like this blogger's opinion of faith, which is basically an idealistic vision of peace and respectful disagreement among people of different faiths. It just sounds so rational, like anyone with a normal brain should be able to agree with that sentiment. But I guess that is how we all feel about our deeply held beliefs, and thus the conflict.

oh brother. that is about the most utopian view of the world ever. does that guy not realize that people (real living breathing people) live here? i don't believe that we can avoid the conflicts of religion and that's unfortunate. still, i would say that the guy is not really very honest in his assessment of his own religion (islam). i, on the other hand, am the first to say that my given religion (christianity) is usually full of haters.
and that's all i have to say about that.
